Bluebeam PDF Revu 8 Buzz to Continue at AGC Annual Conference & Pavilion
Following last month’s new product launch, Bluebeam prepares for huge response from AGC attendees to its new takeoff and file management features

Pasadena, CA (March 2, 2010)

It’s been only three weeks since Bluebeam® Software unveiled Bluebeam PDF Revu® 8, the latest version of the leading PDF editor for design and construction professionals. Now, powered by the tremendous amount of excitement generated from the recent software launch, Bluebeam is heading to Orlando, Florida to exhibit at the Associated General Contractors’ 91st Annual Convention & Pavilion (AGC). The event is taking place March 17th to 20th at the Marriott World Center Resort. Bluebeam will be exhibiting in booth B20 in the BIM and Emerging Technologies Pavilion.

“AGC attendees will be blown away by Bluebeam PDF Revu 8,” said Sasha Reed, Bluebeam Software Director of Account Services. “Revu 8 moves beyond PDF creation, markup and editing and delivers a complete toolset for digitally managing project data. Bid documents, takeoffs, RFIs, submittals and punchlists can be electronically generated, distributed, reviewed and organized from within Revu. This functionality makes firms more competitive by saving them an extraordinary amount of time, money and paper.”

Released on February 9th, Bluebeam PDF Revu 8 introduces several new features that help construction firms keep their project documents paperless and accessible with just a mouse click or two. Among these include a file management tab for organizing files, integration into Microsoft® SharePoint® and Bentley® ProjectWise®, drawing overlays and linkable markups for easily referencing additional content.

Keeping with the AGC’s conference theme, “Dare to Challenge, Dare to Change,” Bluebeam’s booth will be centered on achieving the Holy Grail in the construction industry – a completely paperless project. In addition to demonstrating Bluebeam PDF Revu 8, the booth will feature Bluebeam’s paper-fighting superhero, Mighty Bluebeam, showing construction professionals how Bluebeam blasts project documents to PDF.

“There’s no way you’ll miss our booth at AGC,” said Stephani Haynes, Director of Marketing at Bluebeam Software. “Mighty Bluebeam was the talk of the show at Greenbuild 2009 and we’re certain the AGC community will be just as excited to learn why Bluebeam is the superhero of the construction industry.”

Bluebeam PDF Revu 8 is sold direct and through a global network of resellers, and used by the world’s top design and construction firms. For more information visit Bluebeam Software at AGC in booth B20 or go to www.bluebeam.com.
